Cambridge Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Sheltered from the fenland winds, a great base for exploring – especially by bike because the area is so flat. Wildlife lovers should look out for the woodpeckers and muntjac deer. A fully functional disabled facilty for wheelchair users, including level access shower and equipment. The village of Great Shelford is just over a mile from Site and has a supermarket, Post Office and bank. There are also a number of pubs serving food.

Cambridge is best known for its university. Wander round the colleges or check out the shopping centre. A Park and Ride bus stop is a mile from the Site. The best view of the city is said to be from the tower of Great St Mary’s church. Europe’s top aviation museum – the Imperial War Museum at Duxford – is accessible by bus. Its exhibits include 180 historic aircraft and there are flying displays in the summer. Thetford Forest Park is a working forest as well as ideal for relaxation and recreation.
