Located on the A515 6 miles South of Buxton & 8 miles West of Bakewell is one of the most spectacular sites in the Peak District, with fully serviced pitches and amenity block to provide that little bit more comfort we are sure you will want to return again and again. With the Tissington trail and the High Peak trail together with many more walks just meters from our site you can explore the very best that Derbyshire has to offer. As a base to explore further afield, you can't go wrong we are on the old Roman Road which linked Derby with Manchester. Add to this a Pub & Restaurant, then you really have all that you need for a chilled time with friends and family, and you will be amongst friends with the owners and staff ensuring you have all that you require to make your stay a memorable one for all of the right reasons.

From your base camp here at the Duke of York you can visit one of Derbyshire's main attractions Chatsworth House just a 30 minute drive through the spectacular Peak District. Or take walks along the Tissington & High Peak trails which are just meters from our site. Bakewell is 8 miles to the East and offers one of the few remaining Farmers market & auctions which takes place every Monday with plenty to explore around the town. Buxton is 6 miles North and here you have one of the finest Opera Houses in Europe which if you get the chance is a must visit together with the Pavillion Gardens. Poole's Cavern or Poole's Hole is a 2 million year old, natural limestone cave on the edge of Buxton which offers tours to individuals or groups. Located where we are you are not limited to just exploring Derbyshire we boarder the 3 counties of Cheshire Staffordshire & Derbyshire and all are within easy access and some brilliant drives with views that you just can't imagine.
