The camping field has a new toilet & shower block, new electric hook ups. There is hot water at the outside sink for washing up.It is a small friendly site. We are a 5 van site for The Camping & Caravanning Club Waltham village offers all the facilities for your needs.Grimsby is 4 miles away for shopping at The Freshney Place Shopping Centre and Cleethorpes seaside is 5 miles away. Nearby Attractions Waltham windmill is 1 mile away from our site, where you will find a restaurant, shops, small special garden centre, minature railway. The Lincolnshire Wolds are on the doorstep whether you are a walker or cyclist or just like exploring the area, there are plenty of pubs on the way. Cleethorpes leisure centre is 5 miles away. There is ice skating at the Grimsby Leisure Centre. The Grimsby Auditorium has good shows and events throughout the year. Ther is always something to do out and about. Stayed on this site in July 2010. It is an all grass site. I have a large 30ft Motorhome with a small car on the back and access was not an issue. We were met by the site owner who was an extremely pleasant man and we were given the choice as to where we wished to park up. The Facilities are first class with a very hot electric shower and sink with hotwater in the gents. The facilities are extremely well kept and very very clean. The owner was seen to clean them at least 3 times a day.
The site was nice and quiet at night and great location for reaching the near-by towns of Grimsby and Cleethorpes.
I would highly recommend the use of this site and for the cost it is excellent value.
We also had our dog with us which was not an issue provided it was kept on a lead at all times (usual campsite standard)
