Kelvedon Hatch Camping and Caravanning Club Site

In the heart of rural Essex, Kelvedon Hatch is within striking distance of the beaches of the Essex coast; but the cosmopolitan draw of London is only 20 miles away by train from the local station. A fully functional disabled facilty for wheelchair users, including level access shower and equipment. Kelvedon Hatch has a once-secret nuclear bunker – designed to hold 600 personnel in the event of war. It is now a museum.

Brentwood is four miles from Site. It has several attractions, including Mountnessing Windmill – a restored, working post mill. The RAF museum at North Weald Aerodrome. A museum commemorates this in the Hall’s North Wing. Also at the Hall, the Tropical House holds one of the largest private collections of plants in the UK. Trains into London go from Brentwood every ten minutes. Buses to the station stop half a mile from Site. Underground trains depart from Upminster on the District Line.
