Information
Norfolk is a low-lying county in the East of England. Its northern and eastern boundaries are the North Sea coast and to the north-west the county is bordered by The Wash. The city of Norwich is the county town in Norfolk.

There are many seaside resorts, including some of the finest British beaches, such as those at Great Yarmouth, Waxham, Cromer and Holkham.

Norfolk is probably best known for the Broads and other areas of outstanding natural beauty and many areas of the coast are wild bird sanctuaries and reserves with some areas designated as National Parks such as the Norfolk Coast.

The Norfolk Broads is one of Britain's National Parks being the largest protected area of wetland amidst this area of outstanding natural beauty, It is truly a unique place with a wide variety of wildlife and breath-taking scenery that is waiting for you to discover next time you have a day out on the Norfolk Broads.

Visit the longest 10 1/4 inch narrow gauge steam railway in the world Wells Walsingham light Railway, and see the unique Garratt locomotives "Norfolk Hero" and "Norfolk Heroine" which were especially built for this line.

Thetford Forest Park is a magnificent woodland in the heart of East Anglia and a wonderful place for all the family to visit. Spanning the Norfolk and Suffolk border, it is a beautiful mixture of pines, heath land and broad leafs.
