We have just spent a fantastic 2 weeks at this site. It is one of the most peaceful sites we have been to in over 20 years of visiting CLs. We are so glad that we ignored the first comment on this page! The grass is kept beautifully. The site is level - my mother, who has difficulty walking, was able to walk around the site without her stick, which she would not have been able to if it was not even. The facilities were well maintained and always clean. The owners were always willing to help in any way needed. I used the shower a number of times and, although its not large, there is adequate room to wash and the room is partitioned with a wall so your clothes stay dry! Fantastic recycling facilities and the sink in the laundry room is an unadvertised bonus. We were so impressed that we booked 2 weeks for next year before we left! It is well worth the money and the photos don't do it justice - it is beautiful.

Having read the above review I feel I had to comment, We have been going to this site since April virtually every other weekend and have found it a superb site. The field is not that uneven as we do not have to use our blocks(we are a Motorhomer) and our freezer will not work if on a slope. It has a fantastic area to walk our two dogs and the site is so peaceful and quiet which is a bonus. Whilst I agree with the shower being a bit on the small side it has constant running water and not one that you have to keep pushing a button for water. We have always found the owners very helpful and around if you need them but other than that they do leave you to enjoy your holiday not like one CL site we went to where it always seemed like you were being clocked in and out.The fact we go every other weekend the grass is always well cut and no grass clippings anywhere and the bins are emptied every day. The facilities are clean and in good order.

Having just stayed at this CL, i must say i was disappointed. The grass had not been cut, despite their claims that they cut and collect the grass. They can't blame the weather as it has been lovely. The site, although flat was not at all level, and had more undulations than the big dipper roller-coaster, and there were hundreds of animal burrows to deal with. The chemical toilet point was blocked when i came to empty my toilet, and the rest of the sites facilities were then rendered unusable. The shower, although free was a joke. It was a long way from the site, far to small and was unheated. In the laundry room there was no hot water on tap, and i needed to relay it from the toilet next door. At £12 a night i found the site to be poor value as i have stayed on better equipped CL's and paid less money. They say the camera doesn't lie, but it does in this case. The owners seems more concerned with the rental cottages than the CL. Sadly i wont be returning.
