Description
** CARAVAN CLUB MEMBERS ONLY ** The Howard Rosedale Abbey Caravan Club Site is a most attractive riverside location in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, on the edge of Rosedale Abbey and north of Pickering. This is very much 'Heartbeat' country and fans of the television show are bound to recognise locations and the atmosphere of the television program. Farndale Valley is adjacent to the caravan site and here the famous wild daffodils can be enjoyed around Easter time; in mid-August the Rosedale show is another not-to-be-missed event.

Excellent site. Very family oriented. Regular cleaning of toilets/showers & lovely park for the kids as well as rope swings over the streams. Pack plenty of clothes because the kids just can't seem to stay dry lol ....highly recommended, excellent walks & the walk to Mallyan Spout Waterfall is highly recommended. Drive to the Mallyan Spout Hotel & park there & walk to the waterfall, followed by a walk to Beck Hole for some sweets at the smallest sweet shop in the world & a drink at the local pub. Then take the bridle walk to Goathland & you find yourself in Heartbeat country for a lovely ice cream & souvenir shops & then it's a 5 min walk back to the car at Mallyan Spout Hotel.....we'll be going back next year for sure ......
