Slingsby Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Slingsby is beautifully situated between the North Yorks Moors National Park and the Howardian Hills. It is within easy reach of York, the coast and many other attractions. It is also a great base for walkers. A fully functional disabled facilty for wheelchair users, including level access shower and equipment. This Site has especially hard ground, so awnings cannot be used on hardstandings and steel pegs are required for grass pitches.

The attractive market town of Helmsley is nearby. Helmsley Walled Garden, which dates back to 1758, is currently being restored to its former glory. There are two lavender farms in the area. Wolds Way Lavender has 12 acres of plants and wildlife. Yorkshire Lavender includes the largest specialist Herb Nursery in Yorkshire. The city of York is around half-an-hour’s drive away. The Park and Ride scheme accepts motorhomes. Here you can see the Jorvik Viking Centre, the National Railway Museum and much more.
