The Serpent Garden is home to a giant holly serpent and the Poison Garden holds some of the most deadly plants in the world. Bamburgh Castle traces its royal heritage back to the seventh century. Boats to the Farne Islands leave from Seahouses. The Islands are famous for breeding bird colonies (including puffins) in early summer, and a seal colony.
