Boasting excellent facilities, the caravan park offers a safe play area for children as well as a heated indoor pool , sauna and gymnasium. The Ranch Caravan Club Site gives fishing enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy hours of sport only 1½ miles away at a licensed, well stocked trout pool in Loch Mochrum. For history buffs, the town of Maybole has many remarkable buildings steeped in antiquity on the High street. Maybole Castle dates back as far as 1560. The parish church with its striking orange stone and square spire looks as if it would be quite at home in an Aztec Temple. The Burns Heritage Trail is another must when you are visiting Robbie Burns country. For a fun drive from the caravan site take the road up Croy Brae, a famously magnetic hill. The optical illusion created when the brakes are off is that the car appears to move uphill.
