Description
Auchenfranco CS has spacious pitches set amongst hedges, trees & shrubs to ensure privacy between tourers. This also encourages an abundance of wildlife to watch from the comfort of your van. We are a genuine hideaway site, off the road (access to site down 1/4 mile private drive), surrounded by farmland.
We are a back to basics site, we don't have a shower/loo block, but we do offer porta-loo hire if required.
There are no hidden charges at Auchenfranco, £9.50 per night - 1 unit, 2 adults, electric - no charges for awnings/extra vehicle/pets.
Camping & Caravan Certified sites are all members only, but we welcome non-members as they are able to join the club on arrival to our site.
We also have a self-catering farmhouse, sleeps 4, to rent so you can enjoy the charms of the region all the year round.
Also on site - Classic Pen Engingeering, specialising in the sale and repair of fountain pens, dip pens & pencils.

Auchenfranco is 2 miles from A75, 6 miles west of Dumfries, easy access from North or South. Glasgow 1 1/2hrs, Manchester/Northwest England 3hrs.
Dumfries & Galloway is so often overlooked by the visitor, but the region offers a wide range of activites from the stunning coastline of the Solway Estuary, with its mudflats and marshes a haven for birds, as seen on BBC1's Autumn Watch, to the Galloway Forest park with its miles of tracks, also being offically recognised as the first Dark Sky park in the UK, perfect for stargazing.
D & G is rich in history with many famous sons, Robert Burns, JM Barrie, Thomas Telford & David Coulthard to name a few. There's castles, abbeys, houses & museums to explore.
As the bicyle was invented in D & G it's appropriate that we have some of the finest bike trails in the country, 7 Stanes trails and quiet counrty roads.
There's numerous golf courses to try, suiting all abilities. Rivers and Lochs offer a wide range of fishing.
Something for everyone.
