Situated in the idyllic costal and rural area of Wigtownshire, this approved park is open from early May through to September, and forms an excellent base for a relaxing holiday, with numerous local attractions within easy reach. The park is situated at the entrance of St. Medan's Golf Club, a nine hole course with picturesque views across Monreith Bay. the historic town of Whithorn, home of Christianity in Scotland. The Whithorn Trust was founded in 1986 to examine the role of Whithorn in the evolution of Christianity. An archaeological excavation and museum has since been established. Wigtown was established as Scotland's National Book Town in 1997, and accommodates 25 related businesses including 18 book shops.
