A short walk away is the lighthouse – the perfect place to watch the famous dolphins in the Firth when the tide is on the turn. A fully functional disabled facilty for wheelchair users, including level access shower and equipment. Nearby Attractions The nearby village of Rosemarkie is famous for its Pictish stones. These are housed in the Groam House Museum on the High Street. The town also has shops and a couple of pubs serving food. The Beach Café, run by the local community, is open during the summer. The red ruins of Fortrose Cathedral are south of the Site. Take a boat from Avoch Harbour or Cromarty to see the dolphins. Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, is a bus ride away. It has shops, galleries, a cathedral and the Victorian Market. Munlochy Bay is a haven for wading birds, ducks and migratory birds. Black Isle Brewery runs tours of its organic beer-making facility. The Dolphin Listening Centre at North Kessock reveals the undersea world of dolphins and seals in the Moray Firth and is open during the summer months. Feed ducks, geese and swans at the Black Isle Wildlife and Country Park.
