Scone Camping and Caravanning Club Campsite

In the estate of Scone (pronounced “scoon”) Palace, our Club Site is a wildlife lovers’ paradise. You might spot deer here or – occasionally – ospreys, perhaps looking for one of the resident family of black rabbits. Fly fishing (for trout only) is permitted on the River Tay, with permits available from the office. A fully functional disabled facilty for wheelchair users, including level access shower and equipment.

Scone Palace is home to the Earl of Mansfield. The Palace hosts many events and has amazing grounds, including the Lawns and Pinetum. Discounted tickets are available on production of your membership card. Perth Racecourse is next to the Site. Take the dog walk down to the River Tay to watch the races. Grandstand tickets are available at special prices – please call the racecourse direct for more information. The Owners and Trainers restaurant and bar is available to campers on weekends in summer. Quarrymill Woodland Park has a colony of red squirrels. Perth has good shopping facilities, a leisure centre and a theatre. Broughty Ferry has fine beaches. Dundee is home to former Club President Captain Scott’s ship RRS Discovery and the Discovery Point Antarctic Museum. Ospreys can be seen at the RSPB sanctuary at Kinross and at Loch Lowes Wildlife Centre. They even occasionally visit the Site!
