Nearby Attractions The village of Slindon is mainly owned by the National Trust. Denmans is one of several beautiful gardens in the area. The four-acre garden at Fontwell is based on a tamed wilderness. Parham Elizabethan House and formal gardens have a deer park. Arundel is four miles to the east. The city has an interesting Museum and Heritage Centre, a Wildfowl and Wetlands Nature Reserve. Around 50 historic buildings – from the 13th to 19th centuries – have been relocated to the 50-acre site at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum.
