Visit the Helford River which stretches from Falmouth Bay to Gweek. Hire a motor boat at Helford Passage or catch the ferry and visit the other side. Or take refreshment at the local while the children go crabbing from the pontoon or go rock pooling. Visit Trebah and Glendurgan sub-tropical valley gardens 2 miles up the road. The Seal Sanctuary at Gweek. Further afield there is Poldark Mine, Flambards Theme Park, St Michaels Mount, the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan,, Newquay Zoo, Bodmin Steam Railway, Lanhydrock House. St Ives is worth a visit with The Tate Gallery and numerous other galleries and white sandy beaches. Use the Park and Ride at Lelant Saltings to save parking.
