Stowford Farm Meadows Campsite

Made use of their £45/week offer in September. The site is huge but very quiet out of season. Site amenities and food very good. However, when we checked in and found our motorhome pitch it was sloping so much that our ramps were not sufficient. When we explained the problem to Reception they and the site staff were less than helpful, said they could not move us as all the hardstanding were taken/booked (there were 2 near us which were more level and had no one on them the whole week we were there). It was then suggested we should BUY more ramps or blocks of wood (which they said were for caravans and not suitable for motorhomes!). After much arguing we were given some perfectly adequate planks of wood which gave us the desired height. Caravanners beware: if you want hardstanding because you want to be next to friends with a motorhome (as in our case) you will be charged an extra £1 per night for the privilege! Having said all that, we ended up having a good week.
