Information
Ceredigion is a county and former kingdom in mid-west Wales. It is the second most sparsely populated county in Wales.

The Cambrian Mountains cover much of the east of the county, where five rivers have their source the Severn, the Wye, the Dulas, the Llyfnant and the Rheidol. The highest point is Pumlumon. Ceredigion's 50 miles of coastline boasts high quality transparent sea water and some fine sandy beaches.

In recent years, the county has gained more recognition of its connection with Dylan Thomas. The Dylan Thomas Trail runs through part of the county, linking the places associated with the poet He lived in New Quay and Talsarn and frequented Aberaeron and Lampeter.

Things to do
Walk some of the best stretches of the stunning coast path. Hike in the hills, or take a gentle woodland stroll. Or lose yourself in day dreams in a day's fishing by the river, lake or at sea.

Cycling in Ceredigion on designated routes such as the Ystwyth and Rheidol trails which are linked with the Sustrans National Cycle Network is a fantastic way to enjoy truly spectacular scenery and experience the great outdoors.

Surfers, paddle boarders and kite surfers are a regular site between Borth and Ynyslas. Watersports is one of the fastest growing recreation pursuits in Ceredigion, for the best spots its always a good idea to ask the locals, they know the area better than anybody.
