Carrog Station Campsite

Station Camp site is a small touring caravan and camping site situated in the beautiful Dee valley. This quiet, level site is convenient for many local attractions, including Llangollen Steam Railway. Carrog Station is opposite to the site, offering visitors the opportunity to leave their cars or camper vans on our site while they take a leisurely steam train ride into Llangollen, where there are many tourist attractions. Also within walking distance is the local pub, serving food all day, and the River Dee, which is ideal for a picnic on a sunny summer’s day.

Should you wish to venture further afield during your stay with us, the drive to Snowdonia will take you less than 45minutes, or a day at Chester or Shrewsbury, both interesting historic cities as well as being excellent shopping centres, are both an hour away. National Trust properties nearby include Erddig, Chirk Castle, Bodnant gardens, and Powys Castle and gardens. If you would rather have a day at the seaside, the many resorts of north Wales, including Rhyl, Harlech, Barmouth and Llandudno, are only about an hour away. Even the lovely seaside resorts of Anglesey are within easy driving distance.
