Doug and I have just got home from a lovely two night stay at bwch yn ychaf , We camped in the far corner, the wild bit! it was so peaceful, river close by for fishing, idyllic . We enjoyed a camp fire both nights. We went to Bala on the little steam train, next to the site which just added to the serenity of our stay. We walked back, about 6 miles Im guessing following alonside the train line. The showers were clean and hot, great. The grounds were well maintained. Although we didnt take our dog with us this time, we do hope to soon, as there is a specially ed, fenced off area by the river to exercise the dogs freely, fantasic. We also aim to go back to climb Aran Benllyn, which is in clear site of the Campsite. Basically this camp site is ideal I would say for families and people with or without dogs wishing to fish, use the lake in Bala, climb the magnificent mountain ranges, or just chill and unwind. Fantastic Site.

Got back testerday from a week spent at this gorgeous little site. I took two 20 year olds with me who have come back ready to start getting their own stuff together to go back. location was great. lovely little train into Bala to save driving and a bus stop just a short distance away. The little river was smashing and nice and safe for children (and us) to play in. Extremely easy access for trailers and caravans. The road through the site was in excellent condition and the whole grass area was easily accessible. The toilets and showers were spotless. The wash room had a superb top quality washing machine and dryer. I really felt as though I was camping on this site with all the feeling of being "out in the wilds" yet all the comfort amenities were there. I have camped many times from the age of 8 through to my now 50's and have visited a variety of sites and I cannot recommend this site highly enough. Sorry Gareth, Sue, Colin and Tina, we are definiteky coming back next year.

Have just come back from an easter weekend at this site, loved it!
when arriving was welcomed by Gareth the owner who was extremley helpful and ensured all our questions and needs were met. Location was brilliant was right next to the river and a lovely little pub was only a few minutes walk (lovley food!!) An added bonus was that we had an open fire at night all supplied by Gareth at a small cost.
There was plenty of toilets/showers available (even with it being easter bank holiday) and even had an area for washing/drying clothes and dishes. All facilities were very clean. Had such a brilliant time have planned to visit again in the summer with a big group of friends. highly recommended!!
